Descripción de Actividades:

AORA SOLAR es una empresa española establecida en Andalucía cuya misión es la construcción, instalación y comercialización de plantas termosolares, así como el desarrollo de proyectos de I+D relacionados con su tecnología innovadora.

La tecnología AORA SOLAR destaca por tres aspectos fundamentales:
- No necesita agua para funcionar.
- Es modular, en módulos de 100 kW.
- Permite la hibridación con combustible convencional o biocombustible.

En 2009, AORA SOLAR construyó la primera planta comercial en el kibutz de Samar, en el sureste de Israel, gracias a la experiencia obtenida de una unidad de prueba construida por EDIG en China en 2006 con la colaboración del Weizmann Institute y la Universidad de Nanjing.

Usando el modelo mejorado como base, AORA tiene un segundo prototipo de próxima generación en la Plataforma Solar de Almería y otra unidad, con las mismas características, en Israel.

AORA SOLAR is a Spanish company located in Andalusia with the aim of building, implementation and marketing of solar thermal plants, as well as developing R+D projects related to its innovative technology.

AORA SOLAR’s technology sets apart from the rest because of three basic aspects:
- It does not need water for operation.
- It is modular –100kW each unit-
- It can be hybrid with conventional fuels or biofuels.

In 2009, AORA constructed the first commercial plant in Kibbutz Samar in southern Israel, building on the experience gained from a proof of concept unit erected by E.D.I.G. in China in 2006 with the cooperation of the Weizmann Institute and the University of Nanjing.
Using the improved design as a baseline, AORA has a second, next generation, prototype in the Almeria Solar Research Centre in Spain and another unit in the same configuration in Israel.
